Suntera Global Tortoise Takeover Terms & Conditions

Win a three night stay at Durrell Wildlife Camp for a family of four to the value of £570 (competition runs from 0.01am on 1^st July 2023 until midnight on 31^st August 2023).

The promoter is Suntera Trustees (Jersey) Limited (hereinafter to be referred to as “Suntera”) whose registered office is at 13 Castle Street, St Helier, Jersey, JE2 3BT. 

The competition is open to everyone over the age of 18 except employees and Directors of the Suntera Global group of companies (Suntera Trustees (Jersey) Limited and all of its worldwide subsidiaries) and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition. Proof of age may be required on collection of the prize at the discretion of Suntera.

There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.

The closing date for all entries will be at midnight on 31^st August 2023. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted or counted.

Suntera accept no responsibility for any entries not received by the closing date for whatever reason.

The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:

• The entrant must have a photograph taken with the ‘Home, for even the smallest’ tortoise sculpture which can be found at Waterworks Valley, and then submit the image via a form on the Suntera Global website landing page suntera.com/tortoise-takeover-competition, along with the contact details of the entrant, answer the three multiple-choice questions and follow our Facebook and Instagram pages.
• Suntera reserves the right in its absolute discretion to refrain from uploading obscene or offensive photos, and such entries will not be considered.

Suntera reserves the right in its absolute discretion to cancel, suspend or amend the competition and/or to amend these terms and conditions without notice where necessary, due to any event outside of Suntera’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by Suntera placing a notice on the Suntera website landing page noted above.

Suntera is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

The prize is as follows:

The prize is a three night stay at Durrell Wildlife Camp for a family of four to the value of £570 (exclusive of meals).

The prize is as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and Suntera reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

The winner will be notified by email within 72 hours of the closing date referred to above. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 72 hours of such notification, Suntera reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner. This process will continue until a contactable winner can be established.

Suntera will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected.

Suntera’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final.

The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by the Laws of Jersey and all entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the Jersey courts in respect of any disputes.

The entrant agrees that their entry photograph, and if they are the winner, their name may be held and used by Suntera in any publicity material relating to the competition. By submitting their photographs entrants:

• Confirm they hold absolutely all the copyright and other intellectual property rights to the use of the photograph; and
• Grant and assign the entire copyright and other intellectual property rights in the photograph to Suntera absolutely.
• Any personal data supplied by entrants may be held by Suntera and used solely by Suntera or its agents and employees for the purposes of the administration of this competition and for the promotion of Suntera. Personal data will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent. The information will be used in conjunction with the following Client Privacy Notice found at https://www.suntera.com/tortoise-takeover-competition-privacy-notice and our Privacy Policy found at https://www.suntera.com/privacy-policy.

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other social network.

Insofar as is permitted by law, Suntera, its agents or employees will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the wilful negligence of Suntera, its agents or their employees. The entrant’s statutory rights are not affected.
