We are proud to support the annual Guernsey and CoolPlay Gala Dinner, to be held at the iconic Kelvin Grove sports club, located in the Newlands sports precinct. This landmark occasion forms part of CoolPlay’s key fundraising initiatives, supporting the organisation’s mission of growth and long-term sustainability.
CoolPlay: Empowering Young People Through Sport
CoolPlay is a South African non-profit organisation founded in 2013. Using the power of team sport, it equips children from disadvantaged communities with vital life skills — building character, resilience, emotional well-being and positive decision-making both on and off the field.
Operating across low- and no-fee schools in the Western Cape, CoolPlay supports young learners who face significant challenges such as crime, instability and stress. Coaches, known as “Champions”, are drawn from local communities and trained to deliver the CoolPlay curriculum through structured sports sessions and innovative coaching cards, embedding social and emotional learning (SEL) into every activity.
At Suntera, we are proud to play a part in supporting CoolPlay’s life-changing work.
Our Head of Private Wealth in Guernsey, Marcus Prevel, has been visiting South Africa for over 20 years and has a deep commitment to making a lasting difference in the communities we connect with.
