Job Description

About The Role.

As a Senior Trust Officer you will have the opportunity to take direct administrative responsibility for a complex portfolio of trusts, companies and other wealth structures ensuring that first-class service is provided to all clients, intermediaries and other stakeholders whilst ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. 

Your duties will include:

  • Develop and maintain effective client relationships, including meetings, efficiently communicating with trust clients, providing expertise as it relates to all aspects of the management of a team of trust specialists, and providing expertise in products/services.
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of individual clients and their requirements.
  • Maximize and strengthen client relationships with beneficiaries and advisors in order to have the appropriate knowledge to carry out the trust’s purpose and meet the needs of the beneficiaries
  • Ensure that trust provisions, policies/procedures and relevant legislation are adhered to at all times, and that statutory/regulatory filings are completed efficiently.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of trust documentation, including trust deeds, letters of wishes, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct AEOI and Beneficial Ownership review, classification, and due diligence.
  • Expertly navigate CAP and CORIS platforms.
  • Assimilate, prioritize and process a high volume of client requests with rigid deadlines whilst working under pressure.
  • Provide technical guidance and problem solving to the trust officers & trust admin team.
  • Act as support for the Trust Manager / Client Service Director as required.

About you.

As a Senior Officer, you will be able to demonstrate excellent technical competency and an ability to impart that knowledge to others effectively. You will also have: 

  • A minimum of 5+ years of previous experience with complex trust and company administration and high-volume portfolio management.
  • Hold an internationally recognized professional qualification ACIB, ICSA; preferably STEP qualified.
  • Thorough knowledge of trust and estate laws, company, AML regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and effectively collaborate/manage change within a deadline-oriented, customer-focused and diverse environment.
  • Ability to understand and interpret most trust deeds.
  • Display superior communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, team, client service, organisation, problem-solving and administrative skills.
  • Skilled in mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior team members.
  • Strong proficiency in trust management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
