Job Description

About The Role.

The Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in building cohesion between Senior Management and Group client facing teams responsible for executing outsourcing back-office functions. This role will involve supporting Senior Management in facilitating seamless communication and ensuring that outsourced operations align with expectations. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for the oversight and ensuring the day-to-day functions are carried out in a timely manner, managing client relationships, and
supporting the growth and development of the business. The role also involves taking a primary role in managing special projects and partnering with operational partners to ensure regulatory, operational, and business risks requirements are met for the Funds Department. Adhering to Suntera's policies and procedures and observing the code of conduct.

Your duties will include:

  • Provide coverage and operational support to the Director and Associate Director, including client escalations, pipeline management, project delivery, and business reporting
  • Act as primary liaison between Group client facing teams on outsourced functions and local business unit on quality assurance and operational output
  • Review and sign off on deliverables prepared by IOM team, ensuring adherence to internal policies, SLA, and regulatory standards
  • Act as escalation point to resolve client queries and collaborate with client facing teams to ensure timely resolution of client issues
  • Act as authorized signatory
  • Assist in the development and implementation of departmental procedures and control frameworks
  • Coordinate with auditors, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Assist with business development to identify and pursue new client opportunities
  • Ensure all P&Ps are up-to-date and liaise with Compliance on any updated or new P&Ps required to be developed
  • Attend and participate in industry conferences and events that promote Suntera’s brand presence
  • Champion and participate in special projects as required
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to prepare for and respond to issues (pre and post) audit, as well as for CIMA onsite inspections
  • Perform other duties as assigned and incidental to the work described above

About you.

Skills and Requirements: 

  • Minimum 5 – 7 years’ experience in corporate trustee and fund administration environment
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance framework
  • Professional accountancy qualification, ideally gained in financial services with 5 years' post qualified experience
  • Experience in preparing/reviewing audited financial statements
  • In-depth knowledge of the Cayman Islands AML/CFT, Mutual Funds and Private Funds regulations is essential
  • Experience in reviewing fund documents
  • Knowledge of risk management and compliance within the financial industry
  • Willing to embrace new technologies to identify new solutions and inefficient processes
  • Proven experience with team management i.e., team dynamics, engagement, moral, performance management
  • Knowledge in Custody would be an asset
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical skills
