About The Role.

As a Senior HR Advisor your aim is to provide a high-quality HR service to all employees including advice on HR policy, recruitment, workforce development and employee relations issues. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of project initiatives.

You will need a professional approach, and the ability to liaise confidently with senior level staff across the business, offering advice and guidance on HR matters.  This is an exciting role that offers great career development within a supportive environment.

You’ll demonstrate a commercial awareness coupled with excellent organisation and communication skills, so that you can deliver a no-nonsense service. You will drive on-going and continuous improvement in our processes, our data, and our ways of working with the ability to balance priorities and handle day to day workload and projects. 

In this role you’ll assist the senior HR team with all aspects of general HR matters to provide an efficient, responsive, high-quality HR administrative and advisory support to directors, managers, and employees in designated office(s).

HR professionals require excellent written and verbal communications, high accuracy and organisational skills, and supreme attention to detail. 

Your duties will include:

  • Coordinate and support the delivery of HR Operations from onboarding, covering the employee lifecycle to exit.
  • Deliver accurate monthly payroll and pension administration. Ensuring high standards of quality are maintained based on compliance within the relevant legal framework and policy requirements.
  • Monitor absence metrics and follow up with managers in line with the absence management procedure.
  • Develop strong working relationships with the business, ensuring effective communication and early identification of requirements and service issues, including follow-up on complaints.
  • Support managers to effectively drive the annual performance cycle (goal setting and performance reviews) in accordance with the approved timeline.
  • Assist in the creation, monitoring and execution of the annual HR calendar.
  • Provide a high performing HR operational service including advice and guidance on HR matters, specifically operational matters.
  • Oversee and support the wider Operations team, as and when needed to build capability and drive engagement.
  • Manage small HR projects and initiatives. 
  • Implement new HR initiatives and work on various HR projects.
  • Provide support to the Talent, L&D and C&B Centres of Excellence to ensure the needs of the business are met on an on-going basis. 
  • Respond to day-to-day HR queries as they arise and ensure reasonable response times. 
  • Foster relationships among staff through responsiveness and support.
  • Communicate company policies and practices to employees in an engaging, judgment-free, and professional manner.
  • Use HR software to input and compile data on employees and keep all records up to date and accurate. 
  • Stay up to date with current legislation and make recommendations for best practice and make recommendations for enhancements where appropriate.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as they arise from time to time.

About you.

Skills and Requirements: 

  • Solid understanding of employee lifecycle process and administration.
  • Experience with staff welfare and supporting employee relation matters (i.e. probation, sickness, performance).
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and/or HRMS system.
  • Understanding of data recording and analysis.
  • Excellent organisational skills. 
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Reliable with adherence to confidentiality dictations.
