Job Description

About The Role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing India team and work closely with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions. You will act as a key member of the team, helping ensure high-quality delivery, strong controls and timely escalation of matters requiring local jurisdiction input.

As Senior Fund Analyst, you will support a diverse portfolio of alternative investment structures across multiple asset classes and jurisdictions, including hedge funds, private equity, private credit, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure, SPVs and related investment vehicles.

Your duties will include:

  • Maintain accounting records and bookkeeping for a portfolio of funds and related structures
  • Prepare management accounts, NAV calculations, investor reporting and fund accounting deliverables
  • Prepare annual and interim financial statements and supporting working papers
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals and reconciliations
  • Ensure deliverables are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
  • Perform cash, position and transaction reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
  • Process trade activity, subscriptions, redemptions, transfers and other fund transactions
  • Prepare capital call and distribution notices where applicable
  • Prepare investor and portfolio reporting requirements
  • Liaise with custodians, brokers, banks and other service providers regarding operational matters
  • Assist in onboarding of new funds and investors
  • Collect, review and maintain onboarding documentation
  • Maintain fund static data and investor records within internal systems
  • Implement new funds, investors and structures
  • Manage workloads effectively to meet agreed deadlines
  • Maintain operating procedures, controls and fund-specific checklists
  • Identify efficiency improvements across accounting and operational processes
  • Participate in training and development activities to enhance fund accounting knowledge and skills
  • Communicate with internal teams and supervisors on task progress
  • Escalate issues, discrepancies or delays appropriately
  • Liaise with custodians, banks and other service providers for routine queries
  • Maintain good working relationships within the team and support functions

About you.

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field
  • Prior experience in Fund Administration, Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting or related financial services operations
  • Strong understanding of fund accounting concepts, NAV preparation, reconciliations, investor reporting and financial statement preparation
  • Good analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including working with large datasets and reporting templates
  • A proactive, collaborative and control-focused approach to work

Desirable:

  • Exposure to alternative investment funds
  • Experience preparing reconciliations, accounting records, financial statements or reporting deliverables
  • Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP or other relevant accounting standards
  • Experience with fund administration systems or portfolio accounting platforms
  • Professional qualification or part-qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, MBA Finance or equivalent would be advantageous
