Job Description

About The Role.

As a Finance Assistant, you will work closely with teams across the group, providing support across a broad range of billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable activities, with a primary focus on billing operations.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, collaborative team within a busy and growing department, where you will play an important role in delivering high-quality financial support and administrative services.

Your duties will include:

  • Support the global billing and timesheet processes.
  • Assist with the annual billing cycle.
  • Review and maintain client fee arrangements.
  • Prepare and issue invoices and credit notes.
  • Provide guidance to departments on invoicing matters and respond to billing-related queries.
  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure timesheets are completed, reviewed, and submitted accurately and on time.
  • Provide support across other areas of the finance team when required, including but not limited to: 
    • Posting daily cash receipts.
    • Reconciling bank statements.
    • Posting expenses to the general ledger.
    • Processing supplier payments.
    • Reconciling supplier statements and identifying missing invoices or credits.
    • Assisting with month-end close activities.
  • Carry out ad hoc administrative duties as needed.

About you.

Previous office experience within financial services is beneficial but not essential. Full training will be provided, and the successful candidate will have a support network within the department to assist.

The following attributes would also be advantageous: 

  • Bookkeeping experience or experience in a similar role. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-disciplined and detail oriented.
  • Good team working skills.
  • The ability to work to deadlines.
  • An aptitude for IT – knowledge of packages such as Excel and Nav.
