Job Description

About The Role.

As a Qualified Accountant in our Accounting & Tax department you will provide high quality support for our clients. The role will involve preparation of accounts for our clients across a range of common law jurisdictions and a range of entity types including companies, partnerships, sole traders, and trusts. This includes statutory annual financial statements, management accounts and reports to meet regulatory requirements. You will be exposed to all areas of accounting and client service, as well as liaising with experts in other areas of the business to provide integrated solutions across the Group.

Your duties will include:

  • Preparing accounts from records maintained by the client or client manager
  • Compiling financial and other statements and reports for a variety of entity types across multiple jurisdictions
  • Maintaining essential accounting records and files
  • Learning and utilising various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the company

About you.

You will have knowledge of principles, methods and procedures used in modern accounting. You will also know of laws, rules and regulations governing the installation, operation and keeping of accounts and their application to specific situations. You will have expertise of the methods and procedures involved in preparing detailed accounting and other financial reports containing findings, conclusions, and recommendations. 

You will have the ability to analyse accounting problems, to organise assigned work and to develop effective work methods, whilst ensuring that prescribed accounting procedures are followed. You will be able to provide technical advice and assistance to those charged with keeping financial records. 

Skills and Requirements: 

  • Ideally ACCA / ACA qualified
  • Proficient in Excel and computerised accounting packages
  • Adaptable to change
  • A flexible approach to workflow management
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Approachable with strong interpersonal and communication skills
