Sara has more than 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry. She joined Carey in 2014, which was acquired by Suntera Global in 2023.
As Group Head of Corporate Governance, Sara is responsible for leading and embedding strong governance frameworks across the Suntera Group. Her role focuses on promoting governance excellence, supporting effective decision making and ensuring the organisation continues to meet current and evolving regulatory expectations.
Sara enjoys the breadth of her role, which sees her involved across all areas of the business. She is particularly focused on developing and promoting a robust, proportionate and commercial approach to governance, risk and compliance, enabling sustainable growth while maintaining high standards of oversight and control.
Sara brings extensive practical experience in corporate governance and the management of commercial risk to her work, supporting the organisation in meeting regulatory requirements and achieving governance excellence.
She is a Fellow of both the Chartered Governance Institute (FCG) and the International Compliance Association (FICA). Sara holds an MSc in Corporate Governance, a Postgraduate Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance, and a Diploma in ESG and has previously sat on industry association committees.
