About The Role.

As part of the firm’s organic growth strategy, we are creating the position of Head of West Coast Business Development for the Americas. The role will involve developing the Company’s growth strategy throughout the U.S. West Coast and promoting the Company’s products/services to prospective and existing clients. As the Head of West Coast Business Development for the Americas, this role will work closely with the Head of Business Development for the Americas. 

Your duties will include:

  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
  • Promote the company’s products/services, addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Develop entry-level staff into valuable salespeople.
  • Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth.
  • Researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives.
  • Researching prospective accounts in target markets.
  • Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle.
  • Developing quotes and proposals for prospective clients.
  • Setting goals for the business development team and developing strategies to meet those goals.
  • Training business development staff.
  • Attending conferences and industry events.
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy.
  • Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources.
  • Generate new leads, identify, and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select deals in line with strategies, and facilitate pitch logistics.
  • Develop and implement overarching outbound sales and business development strategy, sales processes, structure, and best practices across the company.
  • Support deal structure and pricing with business-value analysis and negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals.
  • Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations.

About you.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in business administration, marketing, finance, or related field; master’s degree is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in funds administration service, corporate service, or private client trust, with strong network and industry knowledge in this space.
  • Proven business development, sales, or marketing experience.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to convert network into business, strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience in creating and managing budgets.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build and reinforce relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Strong ethics and integrity.
  • Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, a plus.
