About the Role

As New Business Officer, you will carry out a range of new business-related tasks, taking responsibility for delivery accurate work within tight deadlines and handling high value cases for a range of client types. You will be responsible for ensuring client service excellence is delivered to clients and intermediaries following our policies and objectives.

Your duties will include:

• The accurate and effective handling of new trust and company applications with company service standards and regulatory requirements;
• Reviewing and risk rating new business documentation and conduct the relevant compliance checks;
• Inputting and recording all client/entity communications and documentation into our systems;
• Communicating with clients and intermediaries to provide an update of applications;
• Liaising with retiring trustees, Guernsey Registry and Advocates;
• Drafting documentation for establishment of entity e.g. trust deeds, resolutions loan agreements, Memorandum and Articles of Association;
• Attending new business meetings;
• Ensuring a smooth onboarding of clients, including producing welcome letters and valuations for clients; opening of bank accounts and transferring of funds received; and
• Supporting the internal new business team by using the CRM to track new business flows and assisting with the preparation of Managing Information for regular reporting.
  
  

About You

You will be an enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong relationships within the company and with third parties. The following attributes would also be advantageous:

• Strong communication skills (both written and oral) with all levels of staff;
• High level of organisation and prioritisation skills;
• A proactive manner with the ability to use initiative;
• Good level of skill in Microsoft, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook;
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, enabling effective contact at all levels both internal and external; and
• Be able to demonstrate resourcefulness, adaptability and flexibility in order to cope with the ever-changing demands of the role.
